Shad Gaspard mort en voulant sauver son fils de la noyade : l’hommage de sa femme

Le catcheur américain Shad Gaspard a été retrouvé mort sur la plage de Venice Beach en Californie ce mercredi alors qu’il avait disparu le dimanche 17 mai. Sa femme lui a rendu un vibrant hommage sur les réseaux sociaux.

Le sportif de 39 ans a été emporté par le courant alors qu’il se baignait en famille dimanche 17 mai. Les maîtres nageurs ont tenté de sauver la star de la WWE qui leur a demandé de d’abord sauver son fils âgé de 10 ans. Les secours se sont précipités sur le petit garçon tandis que Shad Gaspard a disparu sous les vagues. Son corps n’a été retrouvé que ce mercredi 20 mai dans la matinée. Sa femme Siliana Gaspard lui a rendu un hommage émouvant sur Instagram. « (…) Il n’y a pas assez de mots pour décrire ce que signifie Shad pour nous tous. Il était notre cœur, notre âme, notre protecteur, notre guerrier. Il était une force lumineuse de la nature, qui a ravie la joie de beaucoup à travers sa nature joyeuse et gracieuse. (…) Nous remercions encore une fois les sauveteurs, les garde-côtes, les plongeurs, les pompiers et les services de police pour leurs efforts. Shad a été et sera toujours notre super héros de la vie réelle. »
