Masters 1000 Paris : Medvedev est déçu

Alors qu’il n’avait plus perdu un match depuis la finale de l’US Open, le 8 septembre dernier, Daniil Medvedev a été surprit hier soir par Jérémy Chardy au premier tour du Masters 1000 de Paris-Bercy.

Le Russe était déçu de sortir aussi tôt dans la compétition et livre sa réaction après le match. « C’est dommage. Au début j’étais en colère pendant 10-15 minutes mais après tu comprends que c’est la vie. Parfois tu gagnes, parfois tu perds. Même si j’ai perdu, je prends ça comme une expérience. Aujourd’hui, Jérémy (Chardy) a très bien joué. J’ai eu beaucoup de possibilités, mais la différence a été que lui a su prendre rapidement les occasions qui se présentaient, et moi non. Je n’ai pas du tout pensé à la série (de victoires qu’il a enchaînées). En rentrant sur le court, j’avais juste peur de perdre. Je déteste perdre. Mais je sais aussi de quoi je suis capable quand je joue. Maintenant je vais avoir plus de temps pour préparer le Masters (de Londres). C’est vraiment un rêve que je vais vivre là-bas. C’est un tournoi où tout peut arriver, ça va être une bonne expérience. »
