« Contre le Real Madrid, les gens jouent comme si c’était le dernier match de leur vie. Comme j’attaque beaucoup, les gens viennent de ma zone. Je n’ai jamais joué contre Cristiano, mais Messi est Messi, il serait hypocrite de dire qu’un autre joueur est plus difficile à marquer », a indiqué Marcelo dans des propos rapportés par Marca.

Le joueur du Real Madrid n’a pas souhaité répondre sur sa préférence entre CR7 et Messi : « Je ne peux pas dire qui est meilleur, j’ai joué dix ans avec Cristiano et la motivation qu’il vous donne sur le terrain, comment il vous guide, est unique. Messi, en étant à l’arrêt, est capable de marquer un but de nulle part ».
