OGC Nice : Rivère se justifie sur son départ 

L’OGC Nice a officialisé le départ de son président Jean-Pierre Rivère, prévu pour le 20 août prochain. À la tête du club depuis 2011, le dirigeant a décidé de tourner la page après plus d’une décennie à la barre. 

Dans une interview accordée à RMC, il est revenu sur les raisons de cette décision qu’il dit avoir prise « il y a quelques semaines », assurant qu’il quitte le club « sereinement » après une aventure qu’il qualifie d’« exceptionnelle ».

Un choix anticipé et assumé

Jean-Pierre Rivère a précisé que le moment de l’annonce n’était pas lié aux résultats du Gym dans les qualifications européennes, mais dicté par un souci de transparence, notamment envers les supporters de la Populaire Sud. Selon ses propos rapportés par RMC, il a tenu à rendre hommage à « toutes les personnes qui ont œuvré à ses côtés », insistant sur le caractère collectif du succès niçois sous sa présidence.
