Barça : ça coince pour le transfert de Nico Williams

Le FC Barcelone rêve de Nico Williams pour renforcer son attaque, mais le transfert est loin d’être bouclé. Le dossier est à l’arrêt en raison de désaccords contractuels.

Le FC Barcelone a fait de Nico Williams l’une de ses priorités sur ce mercato estival. Auteur d’une saison convaincante avec l’Athletic Bilbao (45 matchs, 11 buts toutes compétitions confondues), l’ailier espagnol de 22 ans séduit le staff catalan. Mais selon Mundo Deportivo, l’opération est actuellement bloquée.

En cause : des négociations au point mort entre le club blaugrana et l’agent du joueur. Bien qu’un accord verbal ait été trouvé autour d’un contrat de six ans, le clan Williams exige désormais des garanties fermes sur l’enregistrement du joueur auprès de la Liga. Une requête motivée par les expériences mal vécues par Dani Olmo et Pau Victor, restés en attente de validation la saison dernière.

Face à ces nouvelles exigences, le Barça est irrité, d’autant qu’elles n’avaient pas été évoquées au début des discussions. De plus, l’Athletic campe sur sa position et n’entend céder que contre les 58 millions d’euros de la clause libératoire.

Si la situation peut encore évoluer, le transfert de Nico Williams semble aujourd’hui sérieusement compromis.
