C’est lors d’une course de haut niveau que la Bahaméenne a remporté le 200m ce dimanche, lors du meeting Ligue de diamant de Birmingham.

Shaunae Miller-Uibo, avec son beau chrono de 22 secondes 24, a remporté la course notamment devant la Britannique Dina Asher-Smith (22 sec 36) et la Jamaïcaine Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (22 sec 50).

De son côté, la Néerlandaise Dafne Schippers, championne du monde en titre du 200 m, n’a pas réussi à faire mieux que quatrième en 22 sec 81, tandis que Marie-Josée Ta-Lou, sa dauphine en 2017, a terminé 8ème et dernière de la course en 24 sec 18.
